 Meditation

This is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation and enhance spiritual growth.

Purpose
Meditation benefits people with or without medial illness or stress. When practiced regularly, it has been shown to reduce anxiety and depression. Meditation has also been know to induce experiences of enjoyment and a new found appreciation for life and relationships with others. It produces a state of deep relaxation and a sense of balance or equanimity. Meditation promotes emotional stability that allows the meditator to experience intense emotions full while simultaneously maintaining perspective. It can be used with other forms of medical treatment and is an important complementary therapy for both the treatment and prevention of stress related conditions. It has often been used to help with; panic disorder, hypertension, atherosclerosis, allergies, asthma along with the fatigue that some experience with having multiple sclerosis.

Mindfulness Meditation

This is specific type of meditation is my area of specialty. While this form of meditation comes out of traditional Buddhist practices, it is a useful practice for any faith/spirituality, during any situation. This form of meditation is used to bring one back to the present moment. Being one in the present moment, allows for the practitioner to focus on the "here and now" instead of worrying about the past or the future.

Aromatherapy

This is the treatment or prevention of disease using essential oils. Other benefits are the reduction of pain and anxiety, enhancement of energy, relaxation, hair loss and eczema - induced itching


Using plant minerals and aromatic plant oils (including essential oils and aroma compounds) I create a blend unique to you and your situation that will promote and improve your psychological and/or physical well being. While my practice utilizes a blend of therapeutic essentials oils that can be issued through inhalation and/or water immersion, I do also offer blends that can be used through topical application and/or massage.
